Roccamore means "a fortress of love." The name came to life when Roccamore’s founder, Frederikke, lived in the charming medieval town of Siena, Italy.
To honor this beautiful city and its unique atmosphere, we’ve gathered Frederikke’s favorite people as models – individuals who have all played a role in shaping Roccamore’s story.

At Roccamore, we are rebellious, elegant, and comfortable. We toast to life because it’s too short to be boring. We stand up for who we are and celebrate it with leopard prints and bold red nappa.
We call it Danish Design, Italian Attitude.

In Italy, shoe production is taken very seriously. Every single component of Roccamore shoes is made in its own factory, which is always called the office - ufficio in Italian.  Roccamore's lasts come from a Formificio, the office for lasts, our soles come from Suolificio, the office for soles, and our heels come from Tacchificio, the office for heels.
Roccamore factories are family-run and carry the expertise of countless generations. Many of the employees have been in the business since they were 11-12 years old. Their work is slow, manual and sometimes impossible - but they are some of the best shoemakers in the world and it takes time to make good shoes.
